Elementary introduction to the principle, development and application of water-based permeable inorganic waterproofing agent (DPS)

Action mechanism:
Both DPS and m1500 are alkali activated chemical penetrant. According to the test report of solid shield laboratory, the alkali contained in the interior of a concrete is at least 361 times that of the surface area. Therefore, it is not only very effective for DPS to penetrate into the concrete and react with alkali, but also its products become a permanent part of the concrete, not only the surface coating. At the same time, the catalyst in the DPS can also promote it to penetrate the concrete surface or the aggregate therein and look for water downward for reaction.
Under the joint action of water and alkali in concrete, silicon gel will be formed immediately at all voids and on the wet surface of particles (sand, aggregate and cement). As long as there is water and alkali, this reaction will continue. After a long time, this layer of silicon gel will be hydrated into a solid and breathable substance filled with glass like structure, which can be waterproof and moisture-proof for a long time, At the same time, the surface hardness and compressive strength of concrete are improved.
On the surface of voids and particles, the permanent condensate DPS reacts with alkali in water. A layer of hard gel is formed due to capillary action, filling all voids and pores under the concrete surface.
The permanent condensate DPS has affinity for water, promotes its flow in the voids and pores, forms more viscous glue, covers more voids and pores, and completely fills small voids. This process is repeated until the concrete is completely sealed. The sealed concrete can still "breathe".
Convenient construction and simplified process in the project
The solution does not need to be diluted or mixed with ingredients. The original liquid is directly applied to the new and old concrete (the old concrete only needs to remove the surface dirt, and the concrete permanent condensate can penetrate), cement products or mortar coating layer by any method such as brushing, rolling, coating and spraying, so as to fully and evenly soak all the construction surfaces at one time.
It is not affected by the wet base, and can be applied on the upstream and downstream surfaces. Therefore, it is very suitable for leakage repair projects of the basement, toilet and sauna room of the existing buildings. At present, the leakage of construction projects is still the first common quality problem, and the repair of leakage is often more difficult and costly than the waterproof of new buildings. The permanent condensate DPS is not only waterproof and reliable, but also the appearance and color do not affect the use.
Greatly simplify the construction process and speed up the construction progress. When used for basement waterproofing, it can save the mortar leveling layer under the bottom waterproof layer and the fine stone concrete protective layer on the waterproof roll layer. Save the mortar leveling layer at the bottom of the wall waterproof layer and the protection outside the waterproof membrane layer. When used in the waterproof of toilet and bathroom, the two layers of protection under and above the coating waterproof layer can be omitted, and the floor finish can be made after spraying the solution on the concrete slab. The concrete surface applied with the solution will not have a film, and it is alkali free, dry, clean, and obviously improves the combination with the finishing layer, thus greatly extending the service life.
Reliable quality and long waterproof life in the project
Due to the permeability of the permanent condensate DPS, the permanent condensate DPS acts on the alkali inside the concrete, so it will not decompose or wear, and can carry out long-term waterproof, sealing and curing of the concrete. The chemical reaction of DPS permeating into concrete and alkali is not only very effective, but also its products become a part of the concrete body to protect the concrete for a long time.
The polymerization of DPS is very good. After the concrete surface is treated, the combination of concrete pouring or repair can be strengthened to prevent the surface layer from falling off.
The spraying of DPS can evenly cure the newly built concrete and resist local drying and hairline cracks. For the surface cracks of the cured concrete, the penetration of the solution still has a repairing effect. Cracks on the structure shall be treated as required.
In addition, the waterproof layer is not easily damaged after formation, and the surface does not need special protection. Compared with other waterproof methods, the finished product protection problem is much easier. If there is any chiseling problem due to other reasons during construction, it can be repaired and sprayed in situ afterwards.
